Leather Sculptures
I was a painter and sculptor long before I became a maskmaker, and I'm still struck now and then with the impulse to create something in leather that isn't wearable, but just a piece of art for its own sake. Represented in this gallery are a few of those pieces.

War Mask
This aggressive mask, with it's bristling ring of spearheads and protective faceplate represents the ceremonial war mask traditionally worn by the chieftan of an ancient primitive tribe which never existed except in the artist's imagination.
