Whether tribal totems or shamanic allies, wizards' and witches' familiars, or simply friends, the animals can provide us with unique perspectives and understandings of the world which we, as human beings, have lost touch with.

Some of us connect with particular animals through the qualities we share with them, others to seek those qualities we lack, which the animal may provide.
